Our Training Seminars

Seminars twice a year (fall and spring semesters), depending on enrollment. We hope for a minimum of 15 participants, but welcome all and have the capacity for large or small groups. Each seminar has a didactic component (Course 1), and a supervision component (Course 2)

  • Course 1 (next offered Friday June 6-Saturday June 7, 2008): Basic principles of Affect Phobia Therapy with an emphasis on videotaped examples (including Dr. McCullough's own tapes) of formulation of core conflicts, moment-to-moment tracking of affect, working with defenses, and exposure to adaptive affects. Location: Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology, Boston, USA (for registration information click here, or contact Linda Rose at MSPP, 617-327-6777x282). Cost: $295. Continuing education credits available for psychologist, social workers, nurses, and LMHCs.
  • Course 2 (next offered Sunday June 8, 2008): Participants bring their own videotapes for supervision. Location: to be announced. Cost: $175, contact training@affectphobia.org to register, or for more information.
  • Faculty: Nat Kuhn MD, Stuart Andrews PhD, and Kristin Osborn MA LMHC (click here for more information).
